REC Connect
What is REC Connect?
REC Connect is a year-round youth and teen program that offers safe and enjoyable summer camps, before and after-school and school break experiences. Programs feature educational opportunities, community partnerships, exciting field trips and a variety of fun recreational activities. In addition, all summer camps and before and after-school programs are state-licensed.
Registration Process & Requirements
Still accepting applications for 2017-18 Before & After School programs!
Registrations are available beginning each February for the upcoming summer camp and before and after school programs. All applicants must submit a completed registration form each year along with an annual non-refundable registration fee for each child registering. Registrations are taken on a first come, first-served basis according to space availability. Please allow up to 7 business days from received date for processing. Once your registration has been processed, you will be notified of enrollment status.

- Before school: $35/week ($40/week for nonresident)
- After school: $45/week ($50/week for nonresident)
- Before and after school: $60/week ($65/week for nonresident)
- Coupon punch card (10-visit punch card; 1 before or after school visit per punch): $120 ($125 for nonresident)
- Middle School*
- After school: $45/week ($50/week for nonresident)
- Coupon punch card (10-visit punch card; one after school visit per punch): $105 ($110 for nonresident)
Summer Camp Program Fees
- Elementary/Middle*
- Part-time (3 days or less): $85/week ($90/week for nonresident), includes field trip fees
- Full-time (4 or 5 days): $105/week ($110/week for nonresident), includes field trip fees. $10 discount available for second and subsequent children in the same family attending full-time.

Discount Program
Discounts are available to any qualified resident based on total income. Read more about our discount program (PDF).
Refund/Credit Policy
A credit, not a refund, will be issued if there is a change of payment status or no services were rendered due to injury, illness, family emergency, inclement weather. A 10% processing fee will be charged. A credit form must be filled out within 7 days of missed program. Read more about our refund/credit policies.

- All elementary schools
- Middle school after school program - Recreation Center (Berkeley, Toano and Lois S. Hornsby students are transported to the Recreation Center daily)
Dates
- Sept. 2017 (school start) through June 2018 (school end)*
Hours of Operation
- Elementary before school program: 7 a.m. to school start
- Elementary and middle after school programs: School dismissal until 6 p.m.
- Programs are offered on both half days and full teacher workdays (half and full teacher workdays are included in after school and before/after school weekly fees).
