James City County offers year round sports classes, clinics, leagues and events for youth and adults. Sport classes and clinics cater to development and foundational skills and tournaments and leagues allow for competition and friendly play. Check out the complete list of year-round programs! Please contact us if you have questions or are interested in partnering to offer a camp, class or clinic. Registration closes 1 week before program start date.

Introduction to Pickleball
Get introduced to one of the nation’s fasting growing sports—pickleball! If you didn’t already know, pickleball is a paddlesport that combines badminton, tennis and table tennis and is played on smaller tennis courts. Join local USA Pickleball Ambassador, Jeff Anthony, as he introduces the basic rules and playing fundamentals. All equipment is provided and all participants will be required to follow the current safety and health guidelines. Preregistration is required at least one week in advance of start date.

Multi-Sport & Motor Control
Bring your child and let them try one of our sports sampler classes or motor control classes! These classes present an opportunity for children to be introduced to major sports including baseball, soccer, basketball and more. Each week introduces a new sport in multi-sport. Preschool motor control will put those busy bodies to work with games-based instruction and brief introductions to major, traditional sports.

Pint-Sized Soccer Series
This soccer series engages kids of all ages and helps to develop balance, movement and soccer skills as well as provide a positive sports environment. Half Pint focuses on individual technical development and Full Pint is designed to hone those skills and introduce dynamic team play.

Tot Shots & Jump Shots
Time to lace up the basketball shoes for this introduction to basketball. Children will focus on individual skills and learn fundamental tactics and ball-handling skills. Jump shots will introduce gameplay and team dynamics.

Half Century Senior Games
April 30 | Gender & Mixed Doubles Pickleball
May 1 | 5K Race
Join us for James City County’s Senior Games! This event caters to adults age 50 or better who enjoy a bit of competition and staying active. Events for 2021 include pickleball and a 5K race. There'll be sections for men’s and women’s as well as amateur or master divisions. To register, visit PerfectMind. DEADLINE TO REGISTER: April 20. Registration includes T-shirt, light refreshments, race bib (5K only), and medals for qualifying finishers. spaces are limited for pickleball. When registering for pickleball, please ensure to register one player only. Be sure to notate your partner's name, skill division, and age bracket at the time of registration.
